Metadatenmodell der amtlichen Statistik

Abstract

Für die Statistikproduktion ist ein gut funktionierendes, übergreifendes Management von Metadaten von großer Bedeutung, um die notwendigen Geschäftsprozesse qualitativ hochwertig und effizient umzusetzen. Mithilfe einer zentralen Systemkomponente werden dazu verschiedene Teilsysteme in einer Gesamtarchitektur für Metadaten miteinander kombiniert. Diese dient in den Produktionsprozessen sowohl als zentrale Bezugsquelle als auch zur Speicherung von Metadaten. Konzeptionelle Grundlage ist hierbei das Metadatenmodell der amtlichen Statistik (MedaS), das auf einem internationalen Standard basiert und 2025 in einer neuen Version im Metadatenmanagementsystem implementiert wurde. MedaS bietet darüber hinaus die Grundlage für eine verbesserte Kommunikation zwischen Fachbereichen, Informationstechnik und Managementebene.
