Abstract

Die durchschnittliche Wohnfläche je Person ist ein zentraler Indikator des vierjährlichen Zusatzprogramms zur "Wohnsituation privater Haushalte" des Mikrozensus. Mit der Veröffentlichung der Ergebnisse für das Berichtsjahr 2022 wurde die Berechnung dieses Indikators im Vergleich zu vorherigen Berichtsjahren grundlegend geändert. Ziel dieser methodischen Umstellung war, realitätsnähere Ergebnisse zur Wohnsituation zu erhalten, indem berücksichtigt wird, wie sich Wohnfläche tatsächlich auf Haushaltsmitglieder verteilt. Der Beitrag erläutert die methodische Umstellung sowie deren Auswirkungen auf die ausgewiesenen Werte zur durchschnittlichen Wohnfläche je Person.
