Erforschung von Satelliten- und weiteren Fernerkundungsdaten zur Ermittlung von Gebäudeangaben

Abstract

Das Statistische Bundesamt hat gemeinsam mit dem Deutschen Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt und dem Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie das Forschungsprojekt "Satelliten- und andere Fernerkundungsdaten für das Gebäude- und Wohnungsregister" (Sat4GWR) durchgeführt. Darin untersuchten sie den Einsatz von Fernerkundungsdaten und Methoden des Maschinellen Lernens zur automatisierten Erfassung und Analyse von Gebäudedaten. Ziel war, Machine-Learning-Modelle zu trainieren und zu evaluieren, um statistische Anwendungen wie die Ermittlung der Anzahl von Gebäuden und die automatisierte Aufbereitung spezifischer Merkmale zu unterstützen. Im Mittelpunkt standen dabei Verfahren der semantischen Segmentierung und der Instanzsegmentierung, die es ermöglichen, Gebäude auf Pixelebene präzise zu identifizieren und zu differenzieren.
