Sozioökonomische Unterschiede in der Sterblichkeit in Deutschland: Was ist bekannt und wo liegen Potenziale der amtlichen Statistik?

Abstract

Eines der wichtigsten Themen der Mortalitäts- und Gesundheitsforschung sind sozioökonomische Mortalitätsunterschiede. Der Beitrag fasst aus verschiedenen Datenquellen ermittelte Ergebnisse für Deutschland zusammen und stellt die jeweiligen Stärken und Schwächen dar. Darüber hinaus untersucht er mit der europäischen Gemeinschaftsstatistik über Einkommen und Lebensbedingungen (EU-SILC) und dem Zensus zwei Datenquellen der amtlichen Statistik, die potenziell geeignet sind, um sozioökonomische Unterschiede in der Sterblichkeit darzustellen. Außerdem befasst er sich mit den methodischen und praktischen Schwierigkeiten bei der Verwendung dieser Daten.
