t+20 – ein Projekt zur Schnellschätzung von Konjunkturindikatoren

Abstract

Im Projekt t+20 des Statistischen Bundesamtes wurden Methoden untersucht, um Konjunkturindikatoren für das Verarbeitende Gewerbe beschleunigt bereitzustellen. Der Einsatz mikrodatenbasierter Modelle, darunter Imputationsmethoden und Maschinelles Lernen, sowie eines makrodatenbasierten Dynamischen Faktormodells soll präzise und verlässliche Schätzungen bereits 15 bis 20 Tage nach Monatsende ermöglichen. Die Analyse zeigt, dass diese Verfahren eine zuverlässige und frühzeitige Einschätzung konjunktureller Entwicklungen zulassen und somit eine wertvolle Grundlage für politische und unternehmerische Entscheidungen bieten.
