Abstract

Die amtliche Personenverkehrsstatistik informiert über die Entwicklung und Struktur des öffentlichen Personenverkehrs. Sie basiert auf den Angaben der Verkehrsunternehmen. Aufgrund struktureller Änderungen ist es für diese jedoch zunehmend schwieriger, zuverlässige und genaue Daten zu liefern, was sich auf die Qualität der vierteljährlichen Ergebnisse auswirkt. Zudem sind regionale Ergebnisse der jährlichen Personenverkehrsstatistik nicht hinreichend genau. Der Artikel erläutert zwei Lösungsansätze aus einem EU-Projekt, um die Datengrundlage der Statistik zu verbessern: einen experimentellen Index sowie die Verwendung von Mobilitätsdaten.
