Methodik und Potenziale des Einrichtungsregisters

Abstract

Ein zentraler Datenbestand zu allen Einrichtungen in Deutschland, wie er in Form des Einrichtungsregisters aufgebaut werden soll, existiert bisher nicht. Ziel ist, diesen Datenbestand nicht nur für den Zensus und darüber hinaus für Bundes- und Landesstatistiken nutzbar zu machen, sondern auch als relevante Datengrundlage für die Öffentlichkeit, Wissenschaft, Politik und Verwaltung zu etablieren. Das Einrichtungsregister kann einen wertvollen Beitrag leisten, um übergreifende sozialpolitische oder planerische Entscheidungen in Bund, Ländern und Gemeinden zu unterstützen: Wie viele Einrichtungen einer bestimmten Bereichsart gibt es in Deutschland, in einem Bundesland oder in einer Gemeinde? Wo kann der Bau von bestimmten Einrichtungen geplant werden?
