Der neue Produktionsindex für die Gesamtwirtschaft

Abstract

Der Produktionsindex für die Gesamtwirtschaft ist ein neuer zusammengesetzter Konjunkturindikator. Er kombiniert vier Konjunkturindizes, die den größten Teil der Gewerblichen Wirtschaft abdecken: die Produktionsindizes für die Industrie, das Baugewerbe, den Dienstleistungssektor sowie den deflationierten Umsatzindex für den Handel. Aufgrund des relativ breiten Erfassungsbereichs liefert der Index ein umfassendes Bild davon, wie sich die ökonomische Aktivität in Deutschland monatlich entwickelt. Der Beitrag beschreibt die methodischen Hintergründe zur Berechnung des Produktionsindex für die Gesamtwirtschaft.
