Beschäftigte und ihre Verdienste nach der zweiten Erhöhung des Mindestlohns

Abstract

Die Statistischen Ämter des Bundes und der Länder führten 2019 zum vierten Mal eine freiwillige Verdiensterhebung durch. Im Auftrag des Bundesministeriums für Arbeit und Soziales sollte festgestellt werden, wie sich die zweite Erhöhung des Mindestlohns auf die Verdienststrukturen ausgewirkt hat. Die Variable „Tarifbindung des Betriebs“ wird in den Verdiensterhebungen nicht erhoben, könnte aber ein wichtiges Klassifikationsmerkmal bei Beschäftigungsentwicklung und Verteilung der Bruttostundenverdienste sein. Diese Annahme führte zu der Frage, ob sich dieses Merkmal nachträglich ergänzen ließe. Der Beitrag berichtet über die Vorüberlegungen zur Imputation, deren Durchführung und die Prüfung der Qualität. Anschließend folgt eine Analyse der Verdienste mithilfe der Variablen.
