Abstract

Die Schwäche des Euro insbesondere gegenüber dem US-Dollar wird üblicherweise auf die mangelnde Politikkonsistenz und Transparenz der Europäischen Zentralbank sowie auf die fehlende Reformfähigkeit und Reformwilligkeit der europäischen Regierungen einerseits und auf strukturelle Wachstumsunterschiede zwischen den USA und dem Euro-Raum andererseits zurückgeführt. Kann die Euroschwäche auch konjunkturpolitisch erklärt werden?
