Abstract

Mit der Europäischen Zentralbank entsteht erstmals ein Teilbereich föderaler Politikentscheidung in der Europäischen Union. Bei der Ausgestaltung der Geldpolitik dominiert aber noch der nationale Einfluß der Teilnehmerländer am Euro. Christa Randzio-Plath plädiert für eine stärkere demokratische Rechenschaftspflichtigkeit der EZB gegenüber dem Europäischen Parlament.
