Nachfolge in Familienunternehmen: Eine qualitative und ressourcenbasierte Betrachtung

Abstract

Das Bewältigen der Nachfolge stellt für Familienunternehmen eine wesentliche Herausforderung dar. Dabei gilt der Resource- Based View (RBV) als eine zentrale Theorie. Familiness bezeichnet die besondere Ausstattung an Ressourcen und Fähigkei- ten aufgrund der Familie. Jedoch wird diese bislang selten explizit auf den Nachfolgekontext bezogen. Die vorliegende Ar- beit entwirft ein Modell, anhand dessen Familiness in Form der vier Dimensionen Humankapital, Sozialkapital, Prozessual- organisationales Kapital sowie Finanzielles und physisches Kapital im Bezug auf die familieninterne Nachfolge in inhaber- geführten Familienbetrieben untersucht wird. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Familiness einen vielschichtigen Einfluss auf das Gelingen der Nachfolge nimmt, wobei die familiäre Beziehung eine wesentliche Komponente darstellt. Dabei wird deutlich, dass Familiness vor allem im Zusammenspiel aller Dimensionen den Nachfolgeprozess positiv prägt. Jedoch sollte für das Gelingen der Nachfolge neben Familiness auch die Wirkung von Kontextfaktoren berücksichtigt werden.
