Säkulare Stagnation: Erwartungen und Begründungen deutscher Unternehmen

Abstract

Annähernd zwei Drittel der vom Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft Köln befragten Unternehmen erwarten eine anhaltend schwache wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in Deutschland. Die Unterschiede zwischen den großen Wirtschaftsbereichen und Unternehmensgrößen halten sich in Grenzen. Die Unternehmen, die von einer Säkularen Stagnation ausgehen, führen in erster Linie angebotsseitige Begründungen an, wie die Gefahr eines Fachkräftemangels sowie Arbeits-, Energie- und Regulierungskosten. Dies spricht für eine Verbesserung der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen und nicht für eine nachfrageorientierte Wirtschaftspolitik.
