Arbeitsmarkt Ostdeutschland 1997: Beschäftigungsabbau setzt sich fort

Abstract

Im Beitrag wird die aktuelle Situation auf dem Arbeitsmarkt Ostdeutschlands untersucht. Im Zuge des schwachen Produktionswachstums nimmt die Beschäftigung auf dem ersten Ar-beitsmarkt deutlich ab. Der Rückgang der Arbeitsnachfrage wird von dem noch stärkeren Rückgang der Erwerbsneigung überlagert, so dass per saldo auch die Unterbeschäftigung ab-nimmt. Trotz der schrittweisen Rückführung der aktiven Arbeitsmarktpolitik werden staatliche Beschäftigungsprogramme auch 1997 eine wichtige Rolle auf dem ostdeutschen Arbeitsmarkt spielen.
