Abstract

Die Auswirkungen des Europäischen Gesamtrechnungssystems auf die Darstellung der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Entwicklung Ostdeutschlands werden einer vergleichenden Analyse mit den Ergebnissen des nationalen Rechenwerkes unterzogen. Die konzeptionellen, definitorischen und datenmäßigen Änderungen führen zu einer Anhebung des Niveaus von Produktion, Beschäftigung und Produktivität. Der Abstand zu Westdeutschland in Pro-Kopf-Größen wird deutlich geringer als zuvor beziffert.
