„Kann Ostdeutschland auch ohne Förderung?“ Ein Diskussionsabend zur Zukunft des Aufbau Ost

Abstract

Am 7. Juni 2012 lud die Initiative „3te Generation Ostdeutschland“ anlässlich ihrer diesjährigen Reise durch die Neuen Länder zu einer Diskussionsveranstaltung in den Räumen des IWH ein. Dr. Jutta Günther, Leiterin der Abteilung Strukturökonomik und Mitglied des Vorstandes des IWH, stellte Befunde aus dem Gutachten „Wirtschaftlicher Stand und Perspektiven für Ostdeutschland“ vor. Dr. Christoph Bergner, Parlamentarischer Staatssekretär im Bundesministerium des Innern (BMI) und Beauftragter der Bundesregierung für die Neuen Bundesländer, sprach über die Herausforderungen der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung in den Neuen Ländern und die wirtschaftspolitischen Handlungsperspektiven. Im Anschluss diskutierten Dr. Jutta Günther und Dr. Christoph Bergner mit den Vertreterinnen und Vertretern der „Dritten Generation“, Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern des IWH und dem interessierten Publikum.
