Abstract

Der starke Stimmungsabfall bei der Bewertung von Geschäftslage und -aussichten durch die ostdeutschen Bauunternehmen im April 1998 reflektierte die damalige Marktsituation, die in Form von Leerständen sowie des Preisverfalls bei Immobilien, Mieten und Bauleistungen erkennen lies, dass es zu Übersteigerungen im Zuge der Bauexpansion gekommen war. Es deutete sich schon im Frühjahr an, dass im Jahr 1998 der bis dahin kräftigste Anpassungsschub nach unten auf der Angebotsseite erfolgen wird.
