Non tutti i bambini sono bene accetti, e neppure tutti i genitori

Abstract

In Italia la libertà riproduttiva e in particolare di avere figli se li si desidera è ostacolata non solo da circostanze materiali, ma anche da norme legali e da regole iscritte in alcune politiche sociali che definiscono alcuni bambini come non benvenuti e alcune categorie di persone come non legittimate a diventare genitori. Ci sono norme legali che impediscono ad accedere all’adozione e alle tecniche di riproduzione assistita a chi è single, alle coppie non coniugate, alle coppie dello stesso sesso, ancor di più se maschili. A queste ultime è reso difficile vedersi riconosciuta la cogenitorialità legale. I figli di stranieri non nati in Italia non sempre danno diritto all’assegno unico e alle detrazioni per figli a carico. E i figli di stranieri anche se nati e cresciuti in Italia hanno accesso alla cittadinanza italiana con molte più difficoltà dei figli di italiani nati, cresciuti e abitanti all’estero.
