Abstract

Bürgerschaftliches Engagement stärkt die Demokratie. Es birgt jedoch besonders für bildungsbenachteiligte Menschen das Risiko, soziale Ungleichheiten zu vertiefen. Bildung ist zugleich der Schlüssel, um Chancen zu fördern, Spaltungen zu überwinden und Teilhabe zu sichern. Die Zivilgesellschaft spielt dabei eine zentrale Rolle, indem sie durch gezielte Bildungsangebote Barrieren abbaut und damit mehr Chancengleichheit fördert.
