Contro la famiglia? Dipende

Abstract

I modi di fare famiglia variano molto nel tempo e tra società differenti. Entro questa differenziazione, le relazioni familiari costituiscono l’ambito primario di formazione dell’identità personale e sociale, a partire dalla identità di genere e dai ruoli di genere ad essa attribuiti nelle diverse società e culture. Le differenze culturali e storiche, i continui fenomeni di adattamento e aggiornamento, le tensioni e i conflitti che emergono tra mutamenti sociali e assetti familiari, tuttavia, segnalano come si tratti di processi non statici e non semplicemente ripetitivi. Infine, alcuni mutamenti positivi avvenuti all’interno delle relazioni di coppia e generazione, in particolare la centralità dell’intimità e dell’affettività, possono avere un lato oscuro che travalica i modelli familiari e di genere.
