Daten für die epidemiologische Altersforschung

Abstract

Durch den Anstieg des Anteils älterer Menschen an der Gesamtbevölkerung ist es auch für die Epidemiologie von besonderem Interesse, welche Faktoren gesundes Altern beeinflussen. 2011 wurde daher innerhalb der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Epidemiologie (DGEpi) eine Arbeitsgruppe „Epidemiologie des Alterns“ gegründet. Im Juni 2013 wurde durch die AG ein Workshop organisiert, in dem folgende Datenquellen für die epidemiologische Alternsforschung in Deutschland vorgestellt wurden: Study of Health in Pomerania (SHIP), Deutscher Alterssurvey (DEAS), Surveys des Robert Koch-Instituts: Studie zur Gesundheit Erwachsener in Deutschland (DEGS) und Gesundheit in Deutschland aktuell (GEDA), Das Sozio-oekonomische Panel (SOEP), Kooperative Gesundheitsforschung in der Region Augsburg (KORA-Age), Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) Deutschland, Daten der gesetzlichen Krankenkassen. In den Beiträgen werden die Datensätze, die Methodik, die altersspezifischen Fragestellungen sowie Möglichkeiten und Limitationen vorgestellt und die Datennutzungsbedingungen erläutert. Gemeinsamkeit der Studien ist, dass sie potenziell geeignet sind, längsschnittliche Verläufe abzubilden, und der wissenschaftlichen Öffentlichkeit auf Anfrage Daten zur Auswertung zur Verfügung stellen.
