Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to determine the influence of public expenditure on private investment as Crowding-out Effect in Ecuador period 2007-2017, an approach that shows the consequences that it generated. The applied method is an Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model (ARDL), in addition to Granger causality test application. This methodology has been selected on the basis of the proposal to determine the influence of public expenditure, in relation to private investment. As the main conclusion, it is determined that the influence of public expenditure in Ecuador has a short-term shifting effect on private investment during the study period.
