Computer simulation as an emerging technology in water resource management

Abstract

For what users with educational problems is the delivery of education on the Internet most likely to be helpful? We address this question through ethnographic and content analyses. Ethnographic analyses of two organizations, a state university and a market research company, reveal that technologically sophisticated users involved in routine information‐based activities across time and space barriers are best suited for Internet‐delivered education. Content analyses of activity on the Web further shows that information systems disciplines or companies are most exploiting the Internet for education. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
