Abstract

Real GDP in Austria expanded by 0.2 percent in the first quarter of 2014 compared with the previous quarter. The upturn did not accelerate further, but it did strengthen. Economic growth, which is buttressed by broad-based demand, is increasingly receiving stimulus from abroad.
