Economic and Social Aspects of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the IT Labor Market

Abstract

This article focuses on the impact of the economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the information technology labor market. The social aspects of this health crisis are also examined and analyzed, with the main emphasis being the changed requirements of the employees working in this sector. The past years have consolidated some trends typical of the IT sphere, such as the possibility of fully remote working, flexible working hours and working on several projects or for several employers at the same time. The report explores the changes that have occurred in this area, attempting to analyze the benefits and challenges for employers in this area, while looking at global good practice and providing some practical guidance for improving the effectiveness of organizational processes.
