Abstract

The article is dedicated on the academic holiday – May 14th, 2012. On this date, 92 years ago the first Bulgarian higher commercial school was established. It is the predecessor of the Economics University. The first school curriculum is a lesson and message from the past. It was prepared after careful study of documents of tertiary business schools in Germany, France, Italy, Austria and other countries. It was consistent with fundamental didactic principles, combining educational, scientific and applied fundamentals in the educational activity and putted high demands for the quality of applicants for professors. The program established the tradition of harmonization of university teaching and research with standards and criteria of the European higher education in economics.
