Abstract

The present study examines the state of investment-construction activities in the country in recent years (2010-2019). An attempt has been made to bring out the main trends in the development of the construction industry and to outline some of the possible directions for the sector in the near future. Indicators with which the national statistics measure the activity of construction entrepreneurs specifically in the section of building construction are analyzed, namely the issued building permits and the started construction of new buildings in Bulgaria and in particular in the capital. The obtained data allow the authors to draw basic conclusions related to the construction activity in the country.
