Attitudes For Certification On The Culturalroute "Along The Silk Road" In Bulgaria

Abstract

The report represents a study according to the framework of a project with reference number BSB 570 "Silk Road Local Culture", having an acronym SILC, funded by the Joint Black Sea Basin 2014-2020 Operational Program and co-financed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria. The aim of the report is to reveal the attitudes of stakeholders for their certification and relevant participation in the offering of the tourist cultural route "Along the Silk Road" in Bulgaria. In the course of the report is outlined a critical review of existing researches and legislation on global and European policies for implementing the Silk Road thematic process of linking along with the main criteria for certification of cultural heritage, cultural routes and stakeholders in the field of European cultural tourism and for the purpose of the project. The authors analyze the officially certified routes and practices of cultural heritage, including those related to the Silk Road in the European context and in the partner countries of the project. Based on a conducted survey, the degree of motivation and willingness of stakeholders to participate in the SILCNET label certification process is also presented.
