Abstract

The research aims to design a comprehensive model for managing demand for electricity and natural gas in conditions of the digital economy development. The classification of the digitalisation directions in energy consumption management allowed identifying new functional qualities of energy systems and new economic and management fields emerging in the sector. The authors develop a scheme of intel? lectual management of the price-dependent consumption of electricity, based on the information and communication platform. The researchers prove the necessity of introducing a combined multi-level platform for managing electricity and natural gas demand in Russia. The clear advantages of the compre? hensive model for managing the demand developed by the authors are that it manages the demand for electricity and gas simultaneously, integrates all levels of control: from the level of a particular enterprise to the level of the national energy system, uses the recent advances in digital technologies and allows for conditions of innovative development of the economy
