Abstract

The paper addresses the problem of implementing the mechanism of priority investment projects in forest resources development. It presents conditions and legislative base for inclusion of an investment project into the list of priority investment projects in forest resources development. The authors examine conditions of implementation of priority investment projects, volumes of attracted investments, dynam? ics of approval of priority investment projects by federal districts of the Russian Federation. The paper identifies a number of problems in formation, selection procedure and realisation of priority projects, which are of practical and methodological nature. Some problems are common, systemic and typical of federal and regional level. The research systematizes factors decreasing the efficiency of the mechanism of priority investment project aimed at development of forest sector of Russia’s economy. The authors formulate recommendations to perfect methods of realisation of priority investment projects in forest resources development so as to improve efficiency both for the state and business.
