The economic-statistical characteristic of innovative development of Southern Federal District

Abstract

The article describes innovation development of the federal districts of the Russian Federation and the regions of the South Federal District on the basis of innovation activity of their enterprises, internal R@D costs, the number of created and used advanced manufacturing technologies and the share of high-tech export in the total commodity export. Having analyzed comprehensive statistical data the author determined the share of innovation activity of the enterprises of the South Federal District, ranked the regions of the South Federal District in accordance with the above-mentioned characteristics and determined the ways of stimulation of innovation activity both at the regional and federal levels.
