Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of access to economic infrastruc-ture on the probability of individuals being below the poverty line in Paraguay in 2018. For this, a multilevel ordered logistic model was estimated at two levels, individual and departmental. The results indicate that access to economic infrastructure services is essential for reducing the probability of poverty in Paraguay. Therefore, the importance of increasing investments in infrastructure, whether public or priva-te, with the aim of raising the quality of life of Paraguayan citizens
