Abstract

In this paper we carry out an empirical analysis on convergence for Latin America for the 1960-2009 period, by means of panel data estimations. Our evidence does not indicate neither the presence of absolute and conditional convergence, or clubs of convergence. In turn, the fixed effects estimations results do not show conditional convergence, which suggest that each economy converges to its own steady state Classific ation-JEL: O0, O5
