L’espace du Rhin Supérieur : vers la construction d’une petite Europe de la science et de la technologie ?

Abstract

Cet article synthétise les résultats de l’étude du BETA subventionnée par la Conférence du Rhin Supérieur, intitulée « Analyse scientométrique de l’espace du Rhin Supérieur ». Le travail de recherche s’inscrit dans le cadre des activités du Pilier science (Säule Wissenschaft) de l’opération Région Métropolitaine Trinationale (RMT) officiellement lancée en 2010 entre les collectivités concernées, avec l’appui des trois Etats et de l’Union Européenne. Il s’agit, sur la base d’indicateurs de créativité scientifique et technologique, de mesurer le degré de connectivité de la recherche au sein de la RMT, condition nécessaire pour que cette région européenne transfrontalière valorise pleinement la masse critique exceptionnelle réunie sur un territoire géographiquement limité – dont l’ambition est de devenir un modèle pour l’Europe de la connaissance.
