Les stratégies et les performances américaines et européennes en période de crise

Abstract

Les Etats-Unis bénéficient d’une reprise économique qui, malgré sa modestie, semble durable, alors que la Zone euro subit une récession et un chômage très important avec des perspectives d’avenir assez incertaines. La comparaison des stratégies de sortie de crise et des performances américaines et européennes au cours de la période récente permet de spécifier les causes de cette différence. Elle montre que cette divergence dans les évolutions économiques des Etats-Unis et de la Zone euro provient essentiellement des différences dans les fondements théoriques de leurs politiques et dans les caractéristiques institutionnelles et structurelles du cadre de leurs stratégies.
