Abstract

L’émission de coupures importantes de 200 et de 500 euros à partir de 2002 doit favoriser la diffusion internationale de la monnaie européenne. Mais elle risque aussi d’alimenter l’économie souterraine très friande de telles coupures, ce qui soulève des problèmes éthiques, économiques, sociaux et politiques.
