The state of the art of social and economic evaluation of investment projects

Abstract

La evaluación económica difiere de la evaluación financiera que es más comúnmente conocida, en cuanto al punto de vista (o perspectiva) y al objetivo. Donde una evaluación financiera procura estimar el rendimiento de un proyecto en términos de recursos monetarios para un agente específico (la entidad o individuo financiero o ejecutor, por ejemplo), la evaluación económica intenta medir el rendimiento del proyecto en términos de recursos reales, para la sociedad como un todo. Más concretamente, la evaluación económica tiene por objetivo la identificación del impacto de un proyecto sobre el bienestar económico de un país, como un todo.
