Conceptual basis of the strategic development of eco-friendly land managament

Abstract

The concept of "sustainable development of society" is clarified. The differences between sustainable and ecologically balanced development are determined. The basic scientific conceptions of environmental direction are analysed. Particular attention is paid to the conceptions of ecological safety orientation. It is established that ecologically safe land use forces to accept the paradigm of environmental development, based on the need to provide the survival conditions for mankind. Necessary prerequisites and the main goal of sustainable land management are determined. The need to balance economic and environmental goals in sustainable land usage is proven. The principles of the development of ecologically safe land usage are substantiated. The basics of sustainable land usage system were examined. The influence of the major factors on the sustainability of land use is determined. The main tools of implementation of ecologically-safe land management are formed. The necessity of sustainable land management functioning on three main levels of land management: national, regional and local is proven.
