On the basis of the international experience the effectiveness of franchising as a way of business is grounded. The effective functioning of franchise retail organizations, franchisers and independent operators are compared. It is established the regularity between trade area of the business in format «convenience store» and its efficiency. The reasons of retail franchising success are ascertained.
