Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the influence of public infrastructure and per capita income inequality on economic growth in five regions of Sumbagsel.Methods – This study uses panel data analysis to analyze conditions in five regions of Sumbagsel, namely Jambi, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung, and Lampung, in 2013-2022.Findings – This study found that the variables of PLN electricity usage and use of clean drinking water sources have a negative and significant effect on economic growth.Implication – The government should improve public infrastructure such as roads, electricity, and water among the community so there is no per capita income inequality in the South Sumatra region.Originality – Using the panel data method, this study contributes to analyzing the influence of public infrastructure and per capita income inequality on economic growth in the South Sumatra region. AbstrakTujuan – Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh infrastruktur publik dan ketimpangan pendapatan per kapita terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di lima wilayah Sumbagsel. Metode – Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data panel untuk menganalisis kondisi di lima wilayah Sumbagsel yaitu Jambi, Sumatera Selatan, Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung, Lampung pada tahun 2013-2022.Temuan – Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa variabel penggunaan listrik PLN dan penggunaan sumber air minum layak berpengaruh secara negatif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi.Implikasi – Pemerintah sebaiknya meningkatkan infrastruktur publik seperti jalan, listrik dan air di kalangan masyarakat, supaya tidak adanya ketimpangan pendapatan per kapita di wilayah sumbagsel.Orisinalitas – Penelitian ini berkontribusi menganalisis pengaruh infrastruktur publik dan ketimpangan pendapatan per kapita terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di wilayah Sumbagsel menggunakan metode data panel.
