Analisis determinan ketimpangan pendapatan di Pulau Jawa tahun 2017-2022

Abstract

Purpose – This research aims to analyze the determination of income inequality on the island of Java in 2017-2022, by analyzing the relationship between the variables GRDP, HDI, UMR and ICT Index on income inequality.Methods – This research uses panel data regression analysis which shows that Fixed Effect is the most appropriate model. This research uses four independent variables, namely GRDP, Human Development Index (HDI), Regional Minimum Wage (UMR) and Technology and Communication Development Index (ICT), while the dependent variable is income inequality which is measured using the Gini Index (Gini Ratio).Findings – The results of this study show that the UMR has a negative effect on income inequality, while the ICT Index has a positive effect on income inequality on the island of Java. Meanwhile, GRDP and HDI have no effect on income inequality on the island of Java.Implication – The implications of the results of this research are related to government policy in overcoming the problem of income inequality, especially on the island of Java.Originality – This research contributes to improving Indonesia's economic conditions, especially regarding the role of information technology in overcoming the problem of income inequality. AbstrakTujuan – Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis determinasi ketimpangan pendapatan di Pulau Jawa pada tahun 2017-2022, dengan menganalisis hubungan antara variabel PDRB, IPM, UMR dan Indeks TIK terhadap ketimpangan Pendapatan. Metode – Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi data panel yang diperoleh hasil bahwa Fixed Effect merupakan model yang paling tepat. Penelitian ini menggunakan empat variabel bebas yaitu PDRB, Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM), Upah Minimum Regional (UMR) serta Indeks Pembangunan Tehnologi dan Komunikasi (TIK), sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah ketimpangan pendapatan yang diukur menggunakan Indeks Gini (Gini Ratio). Temuan – Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa UMR berpengaruh negatif terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan, sedangkan Indeks TIK berpengaruh positif terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan di Pulau Jawa. Sementara itu, PDRB dan IPM tidak berpengaruh terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan di Pulau Jawa. Implikasi – Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah terkait dengan kebijakan pemerintah dalam mengatasi masalah ketimpangan pendapatan, khususnya yang ada di Pulau Jawa. Orisinalitas – Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperbaiki kondisi ekonomi Indonesia terutama yang terkait peranan teknologi Informasi dalam mengatasi masalah ketimpangan pendapatan
