Pengaruh e-commerce terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto Indonesia

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effect of E-Commerce on Gross Domestic Product in Indonesia. Methods – his study uses annual time series data for the period 2003 – 2017 in Indonesia using the Error Correction Model (ECM) approach. Findings – This study found that in the short-term foreign investment, labor, the number of internet users, and the value of e-commerce transactions in the short term had a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's gross domestic product. Meanwhile, the long-term results show that only labor has a positive and significant impact on Indonesia's gross domestic product. Implication – The implications of the results of this study are that e-commerce transactions have a positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia. However, it also has a negative impact due to the large number of imported goods into the country. Originality – This research contributes to analyzing the determinants of Gross Domestic Product by using E-Commerce variables and using the Error Correction Model (ECM) model. Abstrak Tujuan – Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh dari E-Commerce terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto di Indonesia. Metode – Penelitian ini menggunakan data time series tahunan untuk periode 2003 – 2017 di Indonesia dengan menggunakan pendekatan Error Correction Model (ECM). Temuan – Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pada jangka pendek penanaman modal asing, tenaga kerja, jumlah pengguna internet, dan nilai transaksi e-commerce dalam jangka pendek berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produk domestik bruto Indonesia. Sementara itu untuk hasil jangka panjang menunjukkan bahwa hanya tenaga kerja yang berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produk domestik bruto Indonesia. Implikasi – Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa tansaksi e-commerce berpengaruh positif untuk pertumbuhan ekonomi di indonesia. Akan tetapi juga berdampak negatif dikarenakan banyaknya impor barang ke dalam negeri. Orisinalitas – Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam menganalisis determinan Produk Domestik Bruto dengan menggunakan variable E-Commerce dan menggunakan model Error Correction Model (ECM).
