Factores que inciden en la demanda por educación

Abstract

A partir de los años cincuenta ha existido un creciente interés por incrementar el volumen de atención que prestan los sistemas educacionales. Las autoridades educativas se han preocupado de ampliar la oferta del sistema. Sus esfuerzos se han centrado en la expansión de la capacidad instalada del sistema y en el aumento de la dotación de recursos didácticos por alumno. Se registran mejoras apreciables en la solución de deficiencias de alimentación, en el transporte de los escolares y en la atención del medio rural. También se ha mejorado la proporción de profesores con preparación idónea, la dotación de textos escolares y las condiciones físicas en que se desenvuelve el proceso de enseñanza.
