La importancia de las encuestas de seguimiento para las políticas de empleo, desempleo y distribución

Abstract

En este trabajo se señala qué naturaleza deberían tener las encuestas de empleo, con el objetivo de proveer información que permita entender el problema conocido como “persistencia”. La “persistencia” que está presente en muchas conductas económicas, entre las que se cuenta la pobreza y el desempleo, puede ser interpretada de formas totalmente opuestas, lo que también conduce a recomendaciones de política divergentes. Así, se demuestra que la forma de solucionar tal problema, requiere de encuestas que sigan en el tiempo a las personas.
