Trimestralización del producto geográfico bruto por origen y destino

Abstract

En este artículo se desarrolla un nuevo método estadístico de trimestralización de series, basado en el enfoque de Chow y Lin. El método propuesto soluciona en forma importante el problema de saltos y discontinuidades que posee la formulación original de Chow y Lin. Además permite incorporar fácilmente información a priori. La aplicación empírica al caso chileno se hace trimestralizando el PGB por origen y destino a partir de 1960.
