Subempleo, segmentación, movilidad ocupacional y distribución del ingreso del trabajo. El caso del Gran Santiago en 1969 y 1978

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza la existencia, permanencia en el tiempo y distribución de las cuasi rentas en favor de los trabajadores en el sector formal del mercado de trabajo en el Gran Santiago. Sigue la misma línea de argumentación de un artículo anterior del mismo autor, aduciendo a cambios en la estructura económica y a factores institucionales el comportamiento de tales cuasi rentas, señalando que ellas favorecen a los trabajadores principalmente en la estabilidad del empleo y en el acceso a factores complementarios de producción. Por otra parte, se insinúa que mediante el estudio del comportamiento de estas cuasi rentas es posible comprender las diferencias en las tasas marginales de retorno al capital humano, la varianza residual y la dispersión involuntaria del tiempo dedicado al trabajo. Tales factores han sido señalados en estudios anteriores, a partir del modelo de capital humano expandido, como los vehículos más importantes para alterar la distribución del ingreso en el tiempo.
