Abstract

Hasta el momento, los estudios sobre la constitución de sociedades por acciones como primer gran impulso industrializador del siglo XIX, entre los años 1840-1848, han centrado su objetivo en el análisis numérico general, pero no se ha analizado la relevancia de los capitalistas, banqueros, comerciantes, que hicieron posible la constitución de numerosas sociedades mercantiles en un período de años reducido. En el presente artículo se analiza la importancia que pudo tener el banquero navarro Nazario Carriquiry en este período y, según los estudios realizados, su presencia en la constitución de las sociedades mercantiles supera a las de otros capitalistas como José de Salamanca, Jaime Ceriola o Joaquín de Fagoaga.
