Abstract

La Revolución de Octubre de 1934 en Asturias fue la última gran insurrección proletaria de Europa Occidental. Durante 15 días se levantó un nuevo orden social caracterizado por la implantación de un sistema económico socializado. El presente artículo tiene un doble objetivo. Por una parte, analizar cuáles fueron las ideas, imaginarios y representaciones económicas que operaron como impulso para las personas que participaron en la insurrección asturiana de 1934. Por otra, este texto busca analizar de forma monográfica las acciones económicas desarrolladas propiamente por los comités revolucionarios durante la organización de la vida cotidiana en las zonas bajo su control. Se busca mostrar cómo los revolucionarios, con una identidad proletaria definida, desarrollaron imaginarios y prácticas económicas basadas en la justicia social marxista y libertaria, aunque marcados por la autogestión y la improvisación.
