Microfinanzas Como Herramienta Para El Desarrollo Local

Abstract

Con el objeto de descubrir si las microfinanzas actúan como un motor de desarrollo, teniendo impacto en la reducción de la pobreza, por ende en el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de las personas, se realizó un estudio para verificar si en uno de los municipios en los que AUGE trabaja se encontraba evidencia de lo anterior. La evidencia permite concluir que en muchos casos el impacto positivo de los créditos proviene lo que éste permite (creación de unidades productivas) y del conjunto de servicios financieros y no financieros asociados a éste. El contexto económico, legal, social y cultural también influye significativamente en el impacto del servicio financiero, limitándolo o potenciándolo.
