Les e?ets de l’urbanisation sur l’accès aux services de base en Afrique

Abstract

L’objectif de cette étude est d’analyser l’effet de l’urbanisation sur l’accès aux services publics de base en Afrique, notamment l’accès à l’eau potable, à l’électricité et à la téléphonie. Nous avons utilisé la méthode des moments généralisés en système sur un panel de 49 pays africains pour la période 2000-2020. Les résultats montrent que l’urbanisation permet d’améliorer l’accès aux services de base. Toutefois, il existe une relation non linéaire : plus l’urbanisation est rapide et moins les taux d’accès suivent.
